1. Introduction
NOMADSARC ("we," "our," or "us") builds applications for the Shopify platform, including Slice 'n Save and Dynamic Checkout Customizer (each an "App," collectively the "Apps"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information when a merchant installs and uses one of our Apps on their Shopify store.
By installing any NOMADSARC App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the App.
2. Information We Collect
When you install an App, we may access or receive the following categories of data:
- Store information: shop name, domain, email address, timezone, currency, and plan details.
- Product & catalog data: product titles, variants, prices, collections, and inventory relevant to discount and checkout configuration.
- Order & discount data: order totals, applied discounts, shipping methods, and checkout configuration needed to power discount rules and checkout customizations.
- Customer data (limited): where required for features such as customer lifetime spend conditions, we may process customer identifiers and aggregate spend data. We do not access full payment card details.
- Usage data: pages visited within the App admin, feature interactions, and error logs used to maintain and improve the App.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps collected automatically for security and analytics purposes.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App's core functionality (discount rules, checkout customization, shipping logic, etc.).
- Personalize the merchant's configuration and remember saved settings.
- Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve performance and features.
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.
- Communicate with merchants regarding updates, support requests, and billing.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell merchant or customer data. We may share information with:
- Shopify: as required for the App to function within the Shopify platform, in accordance with Shopify's own data processing terms.
- Service providers: hosting, analytics, and infrastructure partners who process data solely on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Legal authorities: where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
5. Data Retention
We retain store and configuration data for as long as the App remains installed on a merchant's store. Upon uninstallation, we delete or anonymize store data within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews — to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold about you. Merchants can request data access or deletion by contacting us using the details in Section 12. Where an App processes end-customer data on a merchant's behalf, requests from end-customers should generally be directed to the merchant, who may in turn contact us.
8. Shopify Platform Data
Our Apps operate within the Shopify ecosystem and access data via Shopify's APIs under scopes explicitly approved by the merchant at install time. We only request the minimum scopes necessary for each App's functionality and comply with Shopify's Partner Program Agreement and API Terms of Service.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Apps are intended for use by Shopify merchants and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of an App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
